Boy, 11 years old: Going into 6th grade and has Type 1 Diabetes but is very independent. Boy, 9 years old: Going into 4th grade Dog, Enzo, 2.5 years old pitbull/beagle/boxer mix
Childcare responsibilities will be different day to day, but can include picking the younger boy up from school, taking both boys to after-school activities, hosting play dates, playing at home, going on walking trips around the neighborhood (library, etc), occasionally making dinner for the kids, and supervising bath time and bedtime if the parents are not home. Household duties will also be different day to day, before the boys get picked-up, include light tidying up, doing the kids' dishes, laundry, picking up groceries, dry cleaning, and prescriptions, and greeting or supervising service people such as plumbers, electricians, or pest control. Dog care includes walking Enzo and picking up poop (approximately 20 minutes, twice a day!), enforcing commands, taking him to vet appointments as-needed (when not conflicting with child related tasks), and keeping an eye on him to prevent trouble. This is a great way to get a pet sitting reference if you'd like to start that side hustle!
