FULL-TIME: Nanny for two kids, 3 and 1, on the UES/UWS

Overview

Do you have great full-time nanny experience with kids aged 1-3? Are you energetic and adventurous? Do you love outdoor activities and engaging play? This lovely new Smart Sitting family is moving from Boston to New York City (UES or UWS) this summer and looking for a professional, experienced full-time nanny. Mostly you'll be with the 1-year-old boy, but there will be times when you'll be with the 3 year-old-girl, and both siblings at the same time, so experience with multiples under 5 is important here. This family values communication! They like to maintain a professional yet warm relationship with their current nanny and value things like daily check-ins and updates, reviews, and sit downs conversations. It's $30 to $35/hour plus PTO, Sick Time, MetroCard and a possible healthcare stipend (let us know if you are looking for this benefit). They are moving in late July or early August and will be looking to trial with candidates then once they're in town.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

This family has a wonderful nanny in Boston and are excited to meet an equally amazing Smart Sitter. They cite their current nanny as being trustworthy, reliable, and responsible when it comes to the safety of their kids. They trust her completely and her decision making and are looking for more of the same! Reliability is so important for this family as well! They're looking for somebody very punctual and communicative. They're happy to help give time off for appointments, but just appreciate as much notice as possible. If your career has been and will continue to be childcare, they're LOVE to meet you!

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. or 8 A.M. - 6 P.M. (flex within these hours is appreciated!).

About the Children

3-years-old, Girl: Energetic and adventurous. She loves her Glide bike and enjoys outdoor activities. she has her moments as a 3-year-old testing boundaries, but by and large she's a great kid. She is potty trained and has no allergies. 1-year-old, Boy: Calm, but s big for his age. He's in the 98th percentile! He is scooting around the house but is not yet potty trained. He also has no allergies.

Responsibilities

Both parents will be fully working out of the house, neither of them work from home, so working independently and being comfortable doing so is a must here! You'll start your day by coming in the morning, getting the kids ready, helping with breakfast clean-up and getting the kids dressed and out the door. You are not expected to do laundry or dishes but if you have down time and want to volunteer that, they would love that and as the baby grows, the responsibilities may change as well. For now, they're looking for somebody to feed the baby, change his diapers, put him down for naps, and keep him on his schedule. They'd also love a person who can take him for walks, play with him in the house, go to the local public library, and find things for you both to do! It's a very child focused position.

Additional Information

Vaccinated candidates are preferred. French-speaking candidates are a plus, as the girl is in a French program and Mom is French Canadian.
