FULL TIME NANNY/FAMILY ASSISTANT: Two girls in UES!

Have you been waiting for that hybrid role to come along that combines childcare and household tasks, giving you some Family Assistant experience? Are you a structured, proactive, and adaptable Smart Sitter? This returning family on the Upper East Side is seeking a fun but detail-oriented nanny to support them for the next six months to one year. They have two girls, but the primary focus will be on the younger one. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $30 to $35 per hour ($1,200 to $1,400 per week), plus PTO, Sick Time, and a MetroCard. The family is flexible and willing to go slightly higher for candidates with a strong background in early childhood education or physical therapy. The Ideal Candidate for this Job

Are you highly organized, adaptable, and proficient with Google Calendar? This family is looking for a tech-savvy nanny who can seamlessly integrate into their team. They will share their Google Calendar with you, so strong time management and planning skills are essential. The ideal candidate should be able to stay on top of schedules, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to changing needs. The girls play well together, but if minor disagreements arise, the family prefers a nanny who can handle them gently yet firmly, setting clear boundaries. Schedule

Monday through Friday! 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM every day, with flexibility to stay late occasionally. 10:00 AM start two days/week to knock out some household tasks (days flexible) Plus flexibility to come in on sick days/school holidays. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours/week!

About the Children

Girl, 3 years old: She will be 4 in November and is very easygoing. She enjoys pretend play, dressing up, playing with her stuffed animals, reading, and singing. She is extremely curious, always looking around and taking in everything as she walks. She has some motor skill delays and attends physical therapy every week, which you would help assist with, so experience with physical therapy is a huge plus. Girl, 7 years old: She is super spunky and full of high energy, so expect lots of running around and giggling. Recently, the girls have started playing together more often, which is great, but sometimes she can get her younger sister riled up. Someone with experience working with multiple children and resolving minor sibling conflicts would be ideal. She is a bit competitive and loves to be "first" in everything.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for picking up the youngest child from school and bringing her home, which is just a few blocks away - you can walk or take the train. In the afternoons, she has various activities and therapies, some at home and some that you will need to take her to. Their older daughter is in an after-school program most days, but on Thursdays, you will pick her up from school and take her to her after-school program. While both girls have structured activities, there is still plenty of unstructured time, and the family would love for you to find fun and interactive ways to fill it! On mornings when you come in early, your tasks will include doing the girls' laundry and preparing dinner for them. Mom handles packing lunches but having dinner prepared is very helpful (if you can prep dinner for the whole family, that’s a bonus but not required). Mom works from home and will be available to help or answer questions as needed but will stay out of your way. On later evenings, you will handle the girls’ evening routine, including dinner, bath, books, and bedtime, followed by some tidying up.
