FULL TIME NANNY: One little boy on the UES!

Overview

Would you love to spend your days with a sweet baby boy that countless SmartSitters have told us they adore? Apply today! This lovely returning SmartFamily on the Upper East Side is looking for a new full-time nanny until December 2025 (when he'll go to preschool). They work regularly with date night sitters in addition to their long-term nanny, and everyone loves their little guy. Their current nanny says he's a one-in-a-million baby that any nanny would be lucky to work with! They're looking for someone experienced (2+ years of experience with this age group in a full-time, long-term capacity), and extremely engaging who loves what they do. They're hoping to start by the beginning of May, so if you're interested, get your application in ASAP. It's $35/hour gross and the family is happy to guarantee 40 hours/week minimum.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

You LOVE engaging with kids this age and helping them thrive in their development! You have previous full-time, long-term experience with this age group as well. You're also great with a work-from-home parent. Their current nanny is super respectful of Mom's workspace, and always texts before going in her room, and they'd love for this to continue in their next relationship. Open, free communication is hugely important to them as well.

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Wednesday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Friday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Sometimes the longer day will shift if the Mom has to work in person or has a work event, but you'll be given notice ahead of time.

About the Children

Boy, 1.5: Both his long-term nanny, and various date night SmartSitters adore him. This is a well-loved baby! He's a pretty easygoing kid overall. He naps really easily, eats a wide variety of foods (baby-led weaning). He's not fully walking on his own yet, stands and totters a bit with assistance, but he's not free roaming yet. Says some simple words. Loves playing with board books and the swings at the park.

Responsibilities

You'll spend the day with their sweet little guy! You'll manage his routine, and take him through his meals, diaper changes, naps and playtime each day. Their current nanny is really engaging, and they'd love to find another stellar person to help him thrive in his development. You'll read together, and you'll help expose him to new words and aid in his verbal development. Right now, he's still working on walking with assistance, so someone who would love to help him do that and get stronger every day is ideal too. You're also happy to introduce him to a diverse array of new foods! He's currently doing great with that, so they'd love to keep this going. As the weather gets warmer, they'd love to find someone who wants to take him outside - they're not far from Central Park! You'll also be expected to perform baby-related household tasks throughout the day as well, keeping his space tidy and keeping up with baby laundry.
