FULL-TIME, SHORT-TERM: 50 hours/week with a 3.5 year girl in the West Village

Overview

This West Village returning family is expecting their second child in June! Their regular nanny is becoming the new baby's newborn care specialist, so for the next 6.5 months, this family is looking for a short-term nanny to be primarily with their 3.5 year old girl. The position will start on either June 11 or June 12 and there will be two weeks of training and shadowing with the current nanny. In August, the family will relocate to the Hamptons but do not expect their nanny to live-in that month. If there is a chance that you are close to the Hamptons or would be willing to commute (even on just some days), that is their first preference. However, they will still continue to meet the weekly guarantee that month, even if you do not. They'd love to start interviewing starting 4/10 through the week of 4/14, so apply today! Monday to Friday 8:00 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. The family is happy to guarantee 50 hours/week

About the Children

Girl, 3.5 years old: She is a very bubbly, energetic girl who loves music, dancing and art. She is a big fan of Disney princesses/characters. Whenever she meets someone new there is a moment of caution as she is “assessing the situation”, but she then quickly settles in. Mom says this also applies to new “adventures” or situations!

Responsibilities

You will arrive each day and help with meal prep and cooking for the 3.5 year old, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, the nanny will do her laundry and take her to various activities through out the day. In the Fall, this will include dropping her off and picking her up from school. Somebody who has experience creating engaging and fun activities for this age group will do well here!

Additional Information

This is a short-term role, through January 2026. Up to date TDAP and MMR vaccines are required since there will be a newborn baby in the home. You must be up-to-date on your CPR certification.
