PART-TIME NANNY: 2 girls in Park Slope!

Overview

Calling all part-time nannies! This lovely new SmartFamily in Park Slope is looking for a new after-school caregiver to care for their two creative little girls starting in mid-July. They are going into Kindergarten and 3rd grade next year! The family is prioritizing a great personality fit and would love to find someone to build a strong connection with their girls. Someone punctual and responsible is super important as well. The position is Monday through Thursday, and they're looking to find someone interested in committing at least through the next school year. It's $33 to $35/hour gross plus PTO, Sick Time, and a MetroCard, and the family is willing to guarantee 20 hours/week.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

They're looking for someone responsible and kind who is a great personality fit with their girls. In the past, they've really loved working with performing artists and generally creative people. However, they're also more than happy to work with someone wonderful who isn't an artist, as long as you're interested in building great relationships with elementary-aged kids. They're looking for someone interested in committing for at least the next school year!

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM and Thursday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. They’d love to find someone for flexibility for full days or an occasional Saturday.

About the Children

Girl, 7: Rising 3rd grader this fall! Girl, 4 going on 5: She's going to Kindergarten next year! They're going to the same school, super close to home (on their block!). Typical learners, no allergies. Both are really artistic kids, and they'd love to find someone who is creative too if possible!

Responsibilities

This is a pretty typical after-school role! Responsibilities include bringing the girls to extracurriculars via public transit (usually, you’ll take one kid to activities while one stays at school for after-school) and then taking everybody home. Once home, you'll be preparing simple dinners (and cleaning up the kitchen from those meals), and supervising homework. You'll typically facilitate bath time for their youngest as well. They will set aside hours in the schedule for children's laundry, tidying the kids' play area, and occasional grocery shopping.
