A lovely SmartFamily is looking for a new part-time nanny for 2 full days per week. They currently have a SmartSitter that they adore, but she'd ideally love to have fewer days in her schedule, so they're looking for someone else to provide coverage on Thursdays and Fridays. They are currently in Hudson Yards but plan to move to the Upper East Side at the end of the summer, so please be sure when applying that a commute to the Upper East would work for you long-term. It's $35 to $37/hour gross plus PTO, Sick Time, and a MetroCard. The family is happy to guarantee 22 hours/week. For the right candidate, they're open to discussing some additional weekend hours (up to 3 additional hours, adding up to a 25 hour/week guarantee).
This family is looking for someone experienced, dedicated, and organized. Their current Family Assistant is smart, highly professional, and has the energy of a fun, responsible "Aunt" type with the kiddos! They'd love to find another great provider with a similar profile. The ideal candidate is great with juggling (always needed for kids this age) and comes in with the genuine desire to help make a family's days run more smoothly. Please note, they have a dog, so you must be okay with dogs!
Thursday and Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM. For the right candidate, they're open to discussing some additional weekend hours (up to 3 additional hours, adding up to a 25 hour/week guarantee).
Girl, 3: In Pre K. In the fall, she’ll go to school on the Upper East Side. Really sweet and loves art! She thrives with a little time here and there to just play independently; a little quiet time to decompress every so often is great for her. She doesn’t need to be going 24/7, and doesn't do well with constant stimulation. Boy, 1: In daycare for part of the day. Funny kid, pretty chill at the moment! Has a dairy and soy allergy they hope he’ll grow out of.
Your day will include both childcare and household tasks! At the start of the day, you’d ideally get them ready and take them to school. The fall schedule for pick up is 11:30 and 12, respectively. While they're in school, you'll complete household tasks such as grocery shopping, tidying, laundry for the whole family (they may be open to laundry for just the kids for the right candidate), vacuuming, and cooking for the kids. Their other Family Assistant also walks the dog, so if you're willing to do that, it's a big plus for them. Once school's out, you'll pick the kids up and spend the afternoon together. They'll each nap, and after, you might head to the playground, go to the playroom in the building, or just play at home before dinner. When playing at home they love to have fun with Magnatiles, Play-Doh, puzzles, read lots of books, and have dance parties. Their oldest girl doesn't need to be constantly on the go, and thrives with a bit of downtime, so that's something to keep in mind as well. Around 5:00, you'll give the kids dinner, clean up afterwards and then head home!
This is ideally a year-round position. Please note, they have a dog, so the sitter will need to be okay with dogs! They're also looking for a candidate who is vaccinated for Covid and MMR, and willing to get next year's flu shot.
