A warm, private family in Menlo Park is seeking a compassionate, experienced ROTA nanny to care for their young, non-verbal autistic child. This 7-days-on / 7-days-off position is ideal for a dedicated professional who is deeply experienced in special needs care, particularly with non-verbal children, and confident working in fully staffed, high-profile households.
You must be a registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), or hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education, Elementary Education, or a related field. The family is also looking for a candidate that can swim and will feel comfortable with the child in the water. Experience with non-verbal autism is highly preferred. Background in Waldorf education is a plus. Prior experience in high-profile, fully staffed homes is preferred. A proactive, calm, and adaptable approach is welcome with this family.
Thursday to Thursday, seven days on and seven days off (ROTA)
School Aged Child, Girl: Non Verbal and Autistic. She does best with caregivers that are flexible, kind, and creative.
You will work on team, alongside another rotational nanny and with other members of the household staff. Responsibilities include all care related to the child.
The family is open to meeting candidates in California or other areas that are commutable. You must have three verifiable references that we can call, have had in-person CPR and First Aid training within the past two years, hold a RBT, BCBA, or a four-year degree in special education, and be able to swim.
