Weekend Nanny for Two Sweet Siblings on the Upper East Side

This returning NYC family on the UES is seeking a loving and energetic weekend nanny to care for their two young children, a sweet baby girl and her fun toddler brother. The role begins in October (or sooner) and is long-term. The family guarantees 20 hours/week and is open to extending hours if the nanny prefers to stay over Saturday night (or arrive Friday night). This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys little ones and wants to build lasting bonds with some amazing kids.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

You’re nurturing, upbeat, and confident with both infants and toddlers especially when it comes to managing two at once. You don’t need 10+ years of experience, but you should know your way around baby care, toddler energy, and multitasking. You love jumping into play, handling naps and feedings with ease, and you take feedback well. You're also comfortable working with parents and grandparents nearby. The house is full, and the vibe is loving and collaborative. Most importantly, you truly love what you do, look forward to seeing your nanny kids every day and watching them grow, and enjoy building long-term bonds with the children in your care.

Schedule

Saturday and Sunday: 9 AM to 7 PM (20 hours/week guaranteed) Option to extend hours if staying overnight Friday or Saturday

About the Children

Boy, 3 years old: A social, active “boy’s boy” who’s loving life as a big brother. He’s thriving with playdates and full of toddler charm. Girl, 6 months old: A bright, ahead-of-the-curve baby with a social streak. Mom already sees a girly-girl personality blooming. She's happy, alert, and adorable.

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for full care of both children during the weekends, managing bottles and meals, keeping nap schedules on track, and jumping into play with energy and creativity. The focus is on engaging the kids in fun, age-appropriate ways while keeping things running smoothly. Light tidying up after the children is expected, and while Mom enjoys cooking for the kids, she’s open to some light meal prep if that’s in your wheelhouse.

Additional Information

Parents are home much of the time, and Mom’s parents currently live with them so comfort being around a full house is a must. They also have a weekday nanny and a twice-weekly housekeeper, so your focus is the kids. Travel is not expected, but the family may relocate to the suburbs (e.g., Westchester or Connecticut) sometime next year. They’d love to find someone open to continuing with them, possibly with a live-in setup, but that's not required at this stage. This role is perfect for someone kind, curious, deeply passionate about childcare, and who wants to grow with a family.
