PART-TIME NANNY: Saturday and Sunday on the Upper East Side, 2 children

Overview

This UES Smart Family is looking for a fun, professional, and active Nanny to join their team weekends, Saturday and Sunday. If you're looking for a weekend position that is fun and will change a bit week to week, this is the job for you. The family has two active and silly boys and they're looking for a caregiver who can take them to the park, help take them to birthday parties, or do quiet indoor play. It's the weekend, so the vibe is a little more relaxed at home!

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

You are a fun, creative, active nanny that loves to be with school aged boys! You're looking for a more relaxed weekend job, but still bring your A+ nanny skills to the table and are ready to pitch in with the dishwasher, keeping the kids' rooms tidy, etc. You pack a mean outdoor bag (sunscreen, check! water bottle, check! snacks, check!) and you know how to have fun while staying organized. They family travels to the Hamptons around the holidays and in the summer and would love for you go with them for the weekend. Somebody who has prior experience and knowledge of the UES would be a huge plus! Driving and swimming is a huge plus.

Schedule

Something like 9 AM to 7 PM. They're open to being flexible on the start time! If you have availability to stay late some evenings, that will come in handy.

About the Children

Boy, 5 years old: He's an incredibly emotionally attuned and sensitive child. He cares deeply about the feelings of others, like his peers at school! He's cautious and calm. Since he's the oldest, he has a more discerning older brother type personality. He can test new nannies, but reacts well to warm, kind, but firm boundaries. Boy, 2 years old: A sweet, hilarious, energetic goofball. He's like a toddler stand-up comedian. He eats everything in sight. He's a cute little wild man that everybody loves. The boys are very physical and do engage with each other like typical brothers, including roughhousing. Mom, Dad, and their caregivers respond with loving but firm boundaries in handling situations that arise.

Responsibilities

Each weekend will be a little different. Mom and Dad have demanding jobs and your presence helps them catch up on work for a few hours each day. At the same time, this is their time with the kids, so they may ask you to go with him to birthday parties, activities and other outings. In the Hamptons, they do sometimes go out on a boat with the kids and would bring you along.

Additional Information

The family has a dog. You'll need to be already TDAP vaccinated and have a flu shot, or be willing to get those. You should already be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
