Mom is looking for a consistent, trustworthy, babysitter for weekend support --- short blocks of time so mom can rest, run errands, or recharge. Trust matters above all else, so if you're the kind of babysitter that builds lasting relationships with the families you work with this, could be a great fit for you.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

Trustworthy, safety-conscious, nurturing, and confident with toddlers. Has previous verifiable experience working with one year olds and understands how to meet their needs with a calm, grounded energy. A good communicator. If you're comfortable building trust over time and being a steady presence, you’ll be deeply appreciated here.

Schedule

Care is typically needed one day per weekend on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays (exact days TBD week to week and can be arranged between you and the mom depending on mutual availability and needs). Approximately 4-5 hour sessions, with a guarantee of 4-5 dates per month (or about 20 hours of care). If you happen to have flexibility in the afternoons and can help with daycare pick-ups in the future, this could be helpful but is not necessary at this time.

About the Children

1-year-old girl. A happy, healthy, on-the-go toddler who’s eating solids, taking a bottle, in diapers, and walking a lot!

Responsibilities

To start, the focus will be on safe, loving care during short weekend windows. This includes bottle feeding, changing diapers, playing, and keeping her happy and secure while Mom is out. As trust builds, the role may expand to include taking her to play outside, light baby laundry, bath time, etc. Mom is open to growing responsibilities but is new to having babysitters and wants to take it slow.
