FULL-TIME: Thursday to Sunday, Summer Live-in Nanny in the Hamptons

Overview

We've been working with this UWS family for several years and have placed many nannies with them - all of whom love their job! They're currently looking to add a weekend summer live-in nanny to their roster, starting in approximately June and ending in September around Labor Day, 2026. This position also includes opportunities to fill in a few times during the spring to get to know their family, and could also become long-term for the right fit (and if you're interested!). They have three children, a 10-year-old boy, a 8-year-old girl, and a 6-year-old boy. This position is live-in from Thursday through Sunday in the Hamptons. You'll need to know how to drive and swim. Ideal candidates will be team players with a minimum of 5 years of experience. They've done well with high-energy, warm, and professional candidates in the past.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

The ideal nanny for this position has experience with school aged children and has experience as a professional nanny for at least five years, with excellent references. The family has done well in the past with candidates are are professional but warm and kind. Being a team player is a must as the home has multiple staff.

Schedule

You'll arrive in the Hamptons on Thursday morning and leave on Sunday evening. There will be some dates at their home in NYC throughout the winter/spring to get to know the family and the children. ***Please note, this position doesn't have to be EVERY weekend in the summer. They do have some back-up, in the event that you have some things you'd like to attend, with advance notice, but the general need is most weekends.

About the Children

10 years old, Boy: He's pretty independent. Very, very into sports. Playing sports but also watching. He knows who is on what team and who is being drafted, etc. He's very responsible, he's on top of his homework. People love him. He's compassionate, athletic. 8 years old, girl: Creative one. Crafty, artsy, imaginative. Plays a lot (and fights a lot!) with her younger brother. She and her brother just put on a puppet show for the whole family. She loves dramatic play. Might have very slight neuro sensitive needs, showing up as her body needing to move. She has a harder time sitting straight and eating, which might be a sensory need, so they're mindful of that. She worked with an OT for a year to help her identify what she needs. 6 years old, boy: He can be a handful, strong personality. He can be very stubborn, set in his ways. But he's SO charismatic! He's very popular. He's in Kindergarten. His brother reports back to the family that he's very popular. Change is hard for him - he gets overwhelmed at social events and parties, etc. He's a little more anxious - despite being outgoing and loud. He's loud to get his voice heard (classic youngest child!). He loves dramatic play.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include all things related to the children, but the family is looking for a team player mentality. They'd love to meet somebody who is happy to run errands and be all around assistant to the family, not just a nanny to the kids. People who love to cook are encouraged to apply! Comfort cooking kids food is part of the job.
