Part-Time Afternoon Sitter Needed – Upper East Side

Overview

Are you a playful, energetic sitter who loves spending afternoons having fun with school-aged kids? A warm Upper East Side family (referred by one of our Smart Sitting families) is seeking an energetic and engaging after-school nanny for two children, ages 7 and 5. This Tuesday/Thursday role includes school pickup, activity support, and interactive afternoon care. The position runs through June 26th with option to continue again in the fall, and the family is looking for someone dependable who can commit for the remainder of the school year if possible.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

Energetic, playful, and warm Strong executive functioning skills and ability to stay organized Comfortable and experienced supporting a child with ADHD Confident safely escorting children to and from activities Reliable and punctual

Schedule

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM starting on February 24th, 2026. Five hours for both Tuesday and Thursday.

About the Children

Two children — a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl.

Responsibilities

School pickup and safely walking children to/from school Preparing and serving snacks Transporting children to after-school activities Engaging in fun, active, and developmentally appropriate play Serving pre-prepared dinner Light tidying related to the children

Additional Information

Sitter must be CPR certified. No pets in the home.
