SHORT-TERM, FULL-TIME SITTER: 1 Infant (1 month) in Greenpoint, Brooklyn!

Overview

This Greenpoint family is looking for a nurturing, experienced temporary sitter to care for their 1-month-old baby from mid-March through mid-April, with the possibility to extend. They’re hoping to find someone with newborn care experience who values routine and consistency. This is a wonderful short-term opportunity for a caregiver who loves the newborn stage and feels comfortable supporting a structured schedule.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

You have strong newborn experience and feel confident managing feeding, sleep schedules, and early developmental care. You’re attentive to waking windows and understand the importance of structure in the first few months. You’re calm, organized, and comfortable working collaboratively with parents who are focused on routine and consistency.

Schedule

March 11–March 24, 9 AM–5 PM March 30–April 14, 9 AM–5 PM **Weekdays only

About the Children

Girl, 1 month: Doing great so far and generally a good sleeper and eater. She has been slightly fussier than usual recently as mom recovers from mastitis. The family aims to keep her wake windows under 90 minutes and values maintaining a consistent routine.

Responsibilities

Provide full newborn care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting healthy sleep routines. Take the baby out for walks as appropriate and maintain the established schedule with consistent wake windows. Baby laundry is required (in-unit washer/dryer), along with light tidying related to the child.

Additional Information

The family lives in a 2-bedroom apartment with a dedicated nursery. Required vaccinations: COVID vaccine with updated booster, TDAP, and flu shot.
