This Upper West Side family is looking for a reliable, warm, and organized part-time sitter to join their team Monday through Wednesday, 3:45 P.M.–7:45 P.M. The family is looking for a caregiver who can confidently manage the after-school routine, including preparing a simple dinner for the children. This is a great role for someone who enjoys consistent weekday afternoon hours.
You are a dependable, proactive, and communicative sitter with experience caring for preschool and early elementary-aged children. You’re comfortable handling school pickup, evening routines, and keeping kids on track before bedtime. You enjoy creating a calm, structured end to the day while still keeping things fun.
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays: 3.45 P.M. - 7.45 P.M. each day
6 year old, girl: Loves dressing up, make-believe play, and spending time with her favorite stuffies. She enjoys imaginative activities and often takes the lead during play. 3 year old, boy: Loves cars and dinosaurs and often follows what his sister is doing. Generally does well with simple, kid-friendly meals.
You’ll be responsible for picking the children up from school, supervising after-school play and activities, and preparing and serving a simple dinner. You’ll also help with the bath and evening routine, making sure both children are fed and showered by 7 P.M. Both kids generally do well with meals, though the 3-year-old can be a bit more selective. Dinners are simple and kid-friendly, like pasta or eggs. There are no allergies or special needs.
We are looking for candidates who are legally authorized to work in the U.S., have an up-to-date in-person CPR certification, and can provide two references we can call and verify.
