Are you an experienced infant caregiver looking for a flexible summer position with a sweet and active baby? This Astoria family is looking for a warm, engaging, and dependable sitter to care for their 8-month-old daughter throughout June and July while the family is home for the summer. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, planning age-appropriate activities, and supporting an infant through an exciting stage of development. The family is flexible on scheduling and hoping to find someone who can become a consistent and supportive presence during the summer months.

The family is looking for someone reliable and flexible who can create a calm, fun, and consistent routine throughout the summer. Russian-speaking is a bonus but absolutely not required.
Approximately 4–6 hours/day, 3–5 days/week Flexible on days and times throughout June and July. Start date: Ideally the first week of June (otherwise the third week of June) Position runs through July 24
Girl, 8 months old: An active and curious baby who enjoys engagement, play, and outings. She’s in an exciting developmental stage and benefits from attentive, interactive care throughout the day
You’ll be responsible for full daytime infant care including bottles and solids feeding, following nap routines, and supporting age-appropriate play and development. The family would love someone comfortable taking the child on outings to the park and library, engaging her throughout the day, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. General child-related care and tidying related to the baby are also part of the role.
$30/hour gross on the family’s payroll. No pets at home. The family lives in a second-floor walk-up, so comfort with stairs is important. Infant experience is strongly preferred. TDAP is preferred but not required. The child may have an egg or fava bean allergy, so comfort following allergy-related guidance is important.
